Gaint Male Bird Eating Spider from Peru - a well preseved specimien with purple tinge on legs you can see in the right light.
Offical name = Pamphobeteus antinous
These taxidermied specimens were made in Australia by Papillion Entomolgy at least 20 years ago - using a special patented process - with clear glass on both sides to allow you to view the underside.
The trade off is the glass doesnt stay pristine on the inside over time. Still they are so dramatic you hardly notice that. The design also means you can either stand on a table or hang from a wall.
Size - 32 x 26cm
Note too there is a small crack in the glass - as per second picture
Would prefer these be picked up in Kyneton due to risk of breakage in the post
