The Goddess of Beer
From ancient Babylonian times comes the tales of Ishtar Siduri - bestower of Strength and Fertility. She is associated with creation, abundance and successful crops such as hops and grains. She is also known as the Goddess of Beer, or the Barmaid - and appears here with a brewing pot in her hands, smiling knowingly as she prepares special beers and wines for rituals and gatherings.
Gigamesh, the wild Babylonian king was known for his violent actions and cause of much grief. When he came upon the wise Siduri he asked “Give me advice to guide me on my way?” Siduri taught him to take pleasure in everyday joys, such as his wife, lovemaking, good food and wine.
I see this as a good gift for a beer drinker accompanied by a selection of ales
